Since it has been several weeks for the NFL’s regular season now, it is time for the top players of the year to get their recognition in Madden 19. On Monday, EA has announced the lineup of their new Madden 19 Ultimate Team of the Year. Among the stars who are representing for the team include New Orleans’ Saints Drew Brees and Los Angeles Rams’ Todd Gurley. The two players will participate in the upcoming competition, so will the several other members of the new MUT TOTY.

Shockingly, Drew Brees from the New Orleans Saints was named the quarterback of Madden 19 Ultimate Team of the Year. This is shocking, mainly because some people may have thought that Patrick Mahoms from the Kansas City Chiefs should be the spot for his body of work. Still, it’s hard to ignore what Brees did for the Saints as he led the Saints to become the number one seed in the NFC, which brought himself a 97-rated TOTY player card.

Joining Gurley offensive will be Rams running back to Todd Gurley III. Last season, he rushed for 1,251 yards and the league's leading 17 touchdowns, ranking No. 3 in the NFL. In addition, Gurley's Rams is the number one seed in NFC. Gurley picked up a 98-rated player card for TOTY, which is definitely a good addition to MUT lineups!

Interestingly, both of the two players will be involved in a big showdown on Sunday (January 20). Los Angeles will visit New Orleans for the NFC Championship Game involving the Rams and Saints. The winner will enter the Super Bowl.
